Rallying is probably the
biggest benefit of belonging to a caravan club, and certainly is the backbone of
the ABI and Friends Caravan Club. We run over 50 events throughout the year;
weekends, bank holidays, and longer rallies too. The club sometimes has foreign
holiday rallies for those keen to travel overseas. There really is something
for everyone.
The events for 2008 can be found listed in the 2008 rally diary which
you will be able to view online once you are a member.
For those who have experienced membership of a caravan owners club, you will
find our club offers a wonderful assortment of venues, a free and easy
atmosphere, and genuine warm friendship. The family is very important to the
club, and children are warmly welcomed. We also recognize that members may not
want to spend their weekend socializing with others, but wish to do their own
thing; this is fine, there is no obligation to participate in anything.
For those who are new to club membership, rallying can seem a daunting step; I
know the feeling well, for I was a member of the Club for many months before
partaking in my first rally! If this is you, take a look at
Hints For New Ralliers
Booking forms for rallies are provided with your Club rally book.
As a club our approach to caravanning is very free and easy. We are holders of
an exemption certificate issued by DEFRA that allows us to rally on land with
the owners permission for up to five days duration.
So if you’d like to become part of our friendly family, or if you were once a
member of our Club and would like to rejoin, post your
Application form today.
